If we hope to see Meta as a real competitor of the ChatGPT, the model just needs to become as good as the other ones available in the market such as Claude, Gemini and so on.
Meta recently announced that it’s developing LLama 3, possibly the next major iteration of its foundational open-source model. Meta claims LLama 3 will outperform previous models due to its enhanced capability in accurate coding. Two smaller LLama 3 models have been integrated into the Meta AI assistant, with a larger multimodal version slated for release next month.
The objective is to position Meta AI as one of the most intelligent AI assistants globally, freely accessible to users. According to Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Meta AI aims to become a leading AI assistant in terms of intelligence and usability. In terms of research capabilities, Meta AI now integrates real-time search results from engines like Bing and Google. It autonomously selects the appropriate search engine to respond to specific queries and prompts. Besides, Meta AI offers image generation and can create animations, including GIFs.

As it’s still in its beta phase, access is currently limited to a select few individuals, but it’s expected to provide solutions for over 3 billion daily users in the future. Currently, Apple is fortifying its foundational models, which are not intended for public release. According to industry enthusiasts, Apple is working with various consumer applications and testing the integrity of its base model. For now, both Google and Meta have successfully launched their large language models (LLMs) to interact and generate not just text but also images. They have promised to integrate GPT-4 technology for more resilient and effective text and code-based outputs in the future.

In my opinion, Meta AI is leaving Chat GPT in the dust! While both AI models have their strengths, Meta AI’s ability to understand context and generate human-like responses is unparalleled.
I’ve noticed that Meta AI is consistently more accurate and informative, providing up-to-date information on a wide range of topics. Plus, its responses are always engaging and easy to read, unlike Chat GPT’s sometimes robotic and outdated answers.
